After the death of Ian Curtis the other members of Joy Division formed another band together called New Order with Gillian Gilbert on keyboards. The first LP "movement" was released in 1981, at this time they seemed to be stuck into Joy Division sound, it's a very dark album, Bernard Summer sang quite like he try to imitate his friend Ian Curtis. Dream never end, the opening track is maybe the exception it's a brillant track with beautiful sounds of guitar. The cover design was released as many (if not all?) Factory releases by Peter Savile inspired by an artwork by the futurist Fortunato Depero (but to me it's also quite similar to Bauhaus works).

bonjour,
une question me taraude. comment se prononce 'indie'?
aindié?
inndé?
inndi?
Peut être que je me trompe en disant ça mais j ai l impression que the cure c est un peu inspiré de ce groupe par exemple ; just like heaven.
Quoi qu il en soit new order excellent choix.
