Bonne année 2011 à toutes et tous, nous revenons à la "normale" après cette période de bilan assez dense. Histoire de bien attaquer l'année RPUT vous propose aujourd'hui un morceau des Primitives, un groupe 80s anglais "C86". We found a way to the sun (ou we've found a way to the sun?) est l'autre face du single "stupid". J'aime autant les deux morceaux, ils sont assez différents en fait, stupid ressemble à du pop punk à la Buzzcocks en plus noisy avec une voix de fille, une très chouette chanson. We found a way to the sun est plus éthérée et vaporeuse mais conserve cette touche noisy, c'est mignon comme tout, en tout cas moi je fond. En ce moment je découvre pas mal le groupe, je risque donc d'en reparler un de ces jours, probablement pour leur premier album sur RCA ou un autre single de leur période "indé" sur Lazy (comme ici).The Primitives were an UK indie band from late 80s affiliated with the C86 sound. They did some amazing pop song with a touch of noise, somewhere between the Buzzcocks and the Velvet Underground. They did several singles for Lazy, their own imprint before signing with RCA. Among thoses singles was "really stupid" a great pop punk song, on the other side you have "we've found the way to the sun" a great song too, that reminds me a lot of current indie bands. I'll hope to talk a little more about this band another time. Happy New Year 2011.

The 7 inches is not too scarce to find, you can find it for pretty cheap on eBay (found my own copy for less than 5€)

Ouaip, je me souviens bien de ce groupe et de leur chanteuse, une belle blondinette. J'avais surtout écouté un album à l'époque chez Lenoir.
Mais là, cette pochette fait vraiment garage.. > Tromprrie sur la marchandise !? ar arrr...
