Hook and The Twin - Bang Bang Cherry (2009)

Comme nos amis de WW2W nous sommes tombés amoureux de ce morceau. En fait j'ai une sorte d'obsession avec Bang Bang Cherry depuis quelques semaines, je l'écoute inlassablement, totalement immergé dans cette talkbox sauvage et profondément punk. Car même si cette musique a un côté hypnotisant, Kraut et quasi-psyché (le break empli de choeur est absolument dantesque), il y a une énergie primaire qui s'en dégage peu commune, de celles que l'on entend désormais rarement sur disque. Ce morceau est surtout un coup de poing dans la tronche et j'espère avoir le temps de les voir aux Transmusicales cet hiver. Impatience.

I'm kind of obsessed with that band and mainly this track. I even rate the single 5/5 on the french webzine soundofviolence i work for. Bang Bang Cherry is really one of a kind. It has been very to find a song with so much primary energy. Because even if it's sound kraut, intelligent, and almost psych (check the wonderful celestial voices break), this song gots something truely punk, with this violent bassline and mind blowing rythmn.I'm very impatient, i want to see them live, now !
