David Ruffin commence sa carrière dans le groupe motown des Temptations, sa voix fait merveille sur des tubes comme my girl, mais il prend la grosse tête, veut un hotel plus luxueux que les autres en tournée...Il quitte donc le groupe en 1968 et commence une carrière solo, si les tubes ne se font pas attendre au début, dès les années 70 c'est un gros passage à vide pour David Ruffin. C'est pendant cette période de vache maigre qu'il signe l'excellent disque me'n rock'n roll avec Norman Whitfield à la prod, ce dernier fait ici du très bon taff et il rend justice à tout le talent du chanteur, notamment sur le morceau d'ouverture I saw you when you met her.écouter i saw you when you met her
David Ruffin was the lead singer of the Temptations, but he had too much ego, so he left the band in 1968. The first years he did some hits, but soon he failed to chart again. In 1974 Norman Whitfield produce his album me'n rock'n roll, an awesome job for a great voice! Just check the openning track I saw you when you met her.
