Eric Burdon & War - Spill the wine (1970)

Eric Burdon, est d'abord le chanteur des Animals, après le split de ceux ci (leur bassiste Chas Chandler devient le manageur de Jimi Hendrix et plus tard de Slade), il part tenter sa chance aux Etats Unis et fini par tomber sur le groupe War de Los Angeles, les deux collaborent sur plusieurs disques (trois il me semble) , en live leur musique faite de blues, jazz, funk, soul, musique latine et rock prend tout son sens, comme la sublime version de "paint it black" de plus de 10 minutes... Il n'empêche que sur disque ça carbure bien comme par exemple sur ce Spill the wine, un single de 1970.

Eric Burdon was the singer of british invasion band the Animals. Then he went to USA, and eventually sang with Los Angeles band War. They did a few records (something like 3 i think) and were one of the most amazing live act of their time.
Spill the wine is a single from 1970 and it shows well the sound of this guys, a blend of soul, jazz, rock blues, funk and latin music.
